Best Places For Entry-Level Jobs

All of us went through an entry-level job as we entered the professional world. No one becomes a high-ranking employee immediately. Entry-level jobs usually are those that require two years of experience or less.

They have different education requirements, too. We should also remember that entry-level jobs are not only for those who are fresh out of school. Many people who are trying to change careers will often have to consider getting an entry-level position because the field they are in is going through a slump. Lots of older people go back to school to get a new degree and then start over again when they re-enter the working world.

Where are the best places to land entry-level jobs? Well that depends on your specific field. If you are a budding computer engineer, for example, lots of new jobs are found in Missouri, New York, California, Washington, DC, and Massachusetts. Beginning computer engineers make about $49,000 annually in these areas.

Actuaries, on the other hand, are now finding their first jobs in New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado and Delaware where they make about $49,000 yearly. If you want to find a job as a chemist, you're better off trying to land one in Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, New Hampshire and Massachusetts — where you can have a starting salary of about $37,000 annually. And… if you are trying to be a market research analyst, you can make an initial salary of more than $33,000 every year in Washington, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Calfornia.
